Optimization Design and Control of Six-Phase Switched Reluctance Motor with Decoupling Winding Connections

In this paper, a design optimization method is proposed to reduce the current asymmetric and consequent torque ripple for six-phase Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM). First, inconsistent phenomenon of investigated SRM introduced, relationship between magnetic distribution phase currents by circuit analysis. Then, reduction in computational cost, surrogate model utilized establish response surface objectives variables. Furthermore, multiobjective performed based on structural control, best solution selected drive system. Compared with traditional symmetric it can be found that control mitigate ripple. Finally, prototype motor manufactured tested. Both simulation experimental results verify effectiveness reasonability analysis optimization.
